Angelique (mostly known as Ajak) is one of Australia's top models. Originally born in Sudan, she demonstrates a true 'Rags to Riches' story which is inspiring. Ajak has worked for designers such as Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Jason Wu, Valentino, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Hermès, Zac Posen, Stella McCartney, Thierry Mugler, Topshop Unique, Issa, and Y-3.
She walked an impressive 14 shows during the Spring/Summer 2012 shows which included, Jason Wu, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Dior, Hermès, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Even though some may argue that 14 shows is not a lot, it can be well argued that it is not about the quantity of the shows a model does, but the quality and prestige of the designer. Walking Christian Dior alone is worth a hell of a lot more then walking for 15 unknown designers.
Ajak has also appeared in high-fashion publications such as US Vogue, W Magazine, Vogue Australia, I-D Magazine, French Revue De Modes, Dazed & Confused, Vogue Italia, Love Magazine, and many more.
All I know for certain is that Ajak won't be disappearing anytime soon, It is hard to believe that at 21 years old she has achieved so much.
